So what was the idea??? Also about the comments made by same posters on that site i will add, “When Greek will be from Zimbabwe, than Macedonia will be Greek” or simply NEVER ! Till than we will be different people with different culture and history (that you Greek’s try to stole from us an hide from the world.). Link to the other site.

Norton Antivirus Tip

Norton Antivirus Tip

If you use Norton the resource sucker here’s a little tip.
This is worth doing if you have a Norton disk that gives you 1 years Subscription.

I’ve tried many a crack or patch to out do Norton but eventually they all fail.

I’ve done this a couple of times and it’s worked.
Uninstall Norton completely. Go to Add Remove Programs and get rid of anything to do with it.

Open up My Computer and click on Tools on the top menu and select Folder Options
Click on the View Tab and click on Show hidden files and folders.

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data
Delete the folder called Symantec. (This is where Norton remembers what your renewal date is)

To be on the safe side go to C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data and delete the Symantec folder in there too.

Delete the folders Norton Antivirus and Symantec in Program files if they are there.

Norton likes to leave crap everywhere.

Now reinstall Norton and you should be rewarded with fresh Subscription service.

Let me know how you go.

Google really is a verb now.

Filed under: News — admin @ 11:47 am

Google really is a verb now.

Wiki about google verb:

The verb google means “to use the Google search engine to obtain information on the Internet.” For example, “Mary googled for Wikipedia references.” Compare with grep. This new word arose from the tremendous popularity of the Google search engine. The American Dialect Society chose the verb google as the “most useful word of 2002.”[citation needed] In July, 2006, the verb ‘google’ was officially added to the 11th edition of the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary,[1] as well as to the Oxford English Dictionary.[2] … more
The Oxford English Dictionary (OED), which bills itself as “The definitive record of the English language,” added the company name as a verb in the latest round of updates, placing Google in such august company as FedEx (NYSE: FDX), TiVo (Nasdaq: TIVO), and Xerox (NYSE: XRX).

While inclusion in the highly respected dictionary does prove Google’s pop-culture cachet and a certain je ne sais quoi (”I don’t know what;” added to the OED in 1656), verbing isn’t always a good thing. Just ask Xerox how it feels about its company name becoming a synonym for photocopying, a word use the company has fought tooth and nail for many years. Trademarks such as Xerox have to be defended, or they risk lapsing into the public domain… more

Example of using: When i need a girfriend i google. :)

Facts about Cooking an Egg With Your Cell Phone

Filed under: Mobile, News — zombi @ 12:08 am

Facts about Cooking an Egg With Your Cell PhoneA story currently doing the rounds by email provides detailed instructions for cooking an egg by placing it between two cell phones. Here is my attempt to check its validity.

One egg weighs about 50 g, and we can assume that to make it boil we want to warm it from 20 °C to 100 °C. For heating it we would need about 4 J / g / °C, and therefore 80 * 50 * 4 = 16 kJ (this is without taking into account the increasing thermal losses as the egg’s temperature rises.) The web page claims that one can bring the egg to boil in 3 minutes, i.e. 180s. Therefore, the egg must be powered at 16 kJ / 180 s = 88W. To get this figure into perspective we calculate the equivalent power / kg, which is 88 W / 50 g = 1760 W / kg. The specific absorption rate (SAR) for mobile phones in Europe is 2 W / kg; three orders of magnitude less than the required power.

Interestingly, comments in a Slashdot article arrived to similar conclusions using arguments such as the above (with different fudge factors), an analogy with microwave ovens, and by working from the phone’s battery capacity. Back of the envelope calculations are surprisingly robust.

Text orgin

But the russian experiment that is saw on the http://kp.ru said that it’s possible to cook an egg with cell phone but neet about 65 minutes. Thee egg was cooked in 65 minutes. Text orgin here.

Boot Camp

Filed under: News — admin @ 12:09 am

Boot Camp More and more people are buying and loving Macs. To make this choice simply irresistible, Apple will include technology in the next major release of Mac OS X, Leopard, that lets you install and run the Windows XP operating system on your Mac. Called Boot Camp (for now), you can download a public beta today. As elegant as it gets. Boot Camp lets you install Windows XP without moving your Mac data, though you will need to bring your own copy to the table, as Apple Computer does not sell or support Microsoft Windows. Boot Camp will burn a CD of all the required drivers for Windows so you don’t have to scrounge around the Internet looking for them.

Diana crash paparazzi to pay one euro in damages

Diana crash paparazzi to pay one euro in damagesPARIS (Reuters) - A French court has ordered three photographers to pay one euro in damages for breaching privacy laws when taking pictures of Princess Diana on the night of her fatal crash, according to a ruling made available on Wednesday.

The single euro divided between the trio will be paid to Mohamed al Fayed, the Egyptian-born millionaire and father of Dodi al Fayed, Diana’s companion who also died in the crash.

Diana, Dodi and chauffeur Henri Paul were killed on August 31, 1997 when their Mercedes car crashed in a tunnel as it sped away from the Ritz hotel in the French capital with paparazzi photographers in hot pursuit on motorbikes. more

Chris Martin Hints at Coldplay Split

Filed under: News — admin @ 3:18 am

Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin set tongues wagging last night when he hinted the band might be splitting up.

As he accepted one of the band’s two awards at the Brit Awards in London, Martin said, “You won’t see us at one of these for many, many years. We won’t see you for a long time. I mean it. It’s going to be years before we have the chance to say this again.”

He prompted even more speculation when, later in the evening, he said: “We got to go. People are fed up with us, and so are we.”

Coldplay won for best single (”Speed of Sound”) and best album (X&Y).

Despite Martin’s proclamations, Coldplay’s London rep insists the hiatus will be no more than the standard break bands take between churning out albums.

“Coldplay are on the road until July, when their 16-month X&Y World Tour ends in Japan,” the rep tells the BBC. “They will then continue working on new material.”

Perhaps Martin also just wants to spend more time with his pregnant wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, and their daughter Apple.

Google is going to censor results for Chinese usersGoogle’s Slow Path to the Darkside
We all knew it was a matter of “when” not “if”, but it’s surprising to see that it had to happen this way. Over on Google Blogscoped, I see that Google Removes Its Help Entry on Censorship:

The page which used to say:
Google does not censor results for any search term. The order and content of our results are completely automated; we do not manipulate our search results by hand. We believe strongly in allowing the democracy of the web to determine the inclusion and ranking of sites in our search results.

Now simply 404s. It’s gone. Well, except for the cached copy in Google itself.
Rather than using that page to explain how and why they’ve compromised their corporate philosophy in China, they’ve removed it entirely with no explanation…
